Getting Started
managedpublishing makes it easy for you to publish a document or book online
and sell your products to your readers. Just follow the simple instructions below to add a professional
link to a web site, blog or both and become a published author! If you would prefer to read this guide in PDF format

Sign In
|
|
1. Click
the Sign in link at the top of the Home page.
|

|
2. Sign in
with your Live ID, or sign up for a Live ID from this page if you don’t already
have one.

Create an Account
|
|
1. Fill in
the details for your account on the My Account page, including the following fields:
·
First Name
·
Last Name
·
Notification Email
·
PayPal Email Address
·
PayPal Image Text: The text that will appear when the user arrives on the PayPal
site.

2. Press
Save to continue.
|
|
You will receive a confirmation email. Please click the link in the email to confirm
your account information.
|
|
Add a Publication
|
|
1. From the
Account Details page, click on the My Bookshelf link or tab.
|

|
|
2. Click
Create New Book.
|

|
|
3. Fill out
the details of your book, including the following fields:
·
Title (name of the book or paper)
·
Price and currency type
·
Description
·
Book Upload link (click the Browse button to locate a pdf file on your computer)
·
Book Cover Upload link (click the Browse button to locate a gif, jpeg, jpg, or png
file on your computer)

4. Press
Save to continue. The site directs you to the Promotions page.

5. From the
Promotion page, you can do the following:
·
Edit the book details
·
Send the book to someone by email
·
View how your book will look when someone clicks on the banner
·
Copy the html for the banner to paste into your site or blog
You can also reach the Promotion page by clicking on the title of
your book in the My Bookshelf tab.

4. Edit Your Publication Details
|
|
1. Edit the
book details by clicking on the Edit Book link on the Promotion page.
|

|
|
2. Adjust
the Name, Price, or Description of the book as needed. You can also delete and replace
the book text and/or cover from this page by clicking the red X next to each,
and uploading new files. Press Save to save your changes.

Sending the Book by Email
|
|
1. From the
Promotion page, enter an email address in the Send Your Book To Someone field, then
click Send.
|

|

The recipient will receive an email and the book attached as a link.
|

|
|
·
You will receive an email notifying that the book has been sent.
|

|
|
Viewing the Book
|
|
From the Promotion page, click on the link under My Link To Buy.
|

|
|
The link displays what the message will look like when someone clicks
on the banner for your book.
|

|
Displaying the Book on a Web Site
|
|
1. From the
Promotion page, copy the html code onto your clipboard.
|

|
|
2. Open your
web page or blog and paste the html into the code where you want the banner to appear.
|

|
|
The banner appears on your site and users can click on it to order
your book!
|

|
|
Ordering a Book
|
|
Once a book banner has been added to a web page, a user can buy the
book by clicking on the banner.
|

|
|
When the banner is clicked, the PayPal page appears. The title of
the page is taken from the PayPal Image Text that was entered on the My Account
page.

The user can order the book from this page.
